Welcome to Vilnius — a vibrant European capital where history meets innovation. eStream 2026 will take place at the modern facilities of the Faculty of Electronics Google maps link, in Plytinės campus of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). It lies in the Saulėtekis Alley, one of Eastern Europe’s most dynamic tech ecosystems, offering world-class networking and learning opportunities, within 30 min trolleybus ride from the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Vilnius. This vibrant European capital marries a rich medieval heritage with a thriving tech and startup ecosystem, offering participants both academic depth and memorable urban experiences.
Vilnius is easy to reach by air from across Europe and beyond, and the conference location is well-connected to city centre and the airport by public transport and reasonably priced taxis.
Distance from VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Electronics (Plytinės campus) to:
• Vilnius center ~ 8 km;
• The International Vilnius Airport ~ 15 km;
• The Vilnius Bus and the Vilnius Railway Stations ~ 10 km.
Getting from the Vilnius Airport:
• Take an express bus 3G to city center (see schedule/trip planner at Judu.lt or Trafi), pay for the trip through Trafi or directly onboard the bus with credit card.
• After the collecting your luggage, order a Bolt ride: pick-up within 5 min from parking spot to the left from the arrival terminal.
• Grab an authorised airport taxi from the rank in front of the arrival terminal, pay on board with credit card, but it might be more expensive than using Bolt.
Vilnius offers a wide selection of hotels, hostels and serviced apartments to suit different preferences and budgets. As the university campus is located on the edge of the city, accommodation options are primarily concentrated in the city centre. We therefore recommend that participants stay in the city centre, where they can enjoy the unique atmosphere of Vilnius Old Town and its vibrant dining and cultural scene.
The conference venue is easily accessible from the city centre, with a typical travel time of around 30 minutes by public transport (1 Eur ticket) or Bolt/Uber car sharing/taxis (7-10 Eur university to city centre, 10-15 Eur to the airport).
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and may use major hotel booking platforms https://www.booking.com/ or book directly with hotels.
All hotels listed below are very centrally located and are well connected to the conference venue by public transport.
