Abstract

The rapid advancement of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation has significantly reshaped logistics systems, placing increasing emphasis on human-centric approaches within technologically driven environments. This study explores the development and structure of scientific research on the human-centric approach in Logistics 4.0 and Industry 4.0 by combining a theoretical overview with a bibliometric analysis of relevant scholarly literature. The analysis examines publication trends, influential authors and journals, and the intellectual structure of the research field, with particular attention to the role of human-centricity in digitally transformed logistics systems. Using bibliometric techniques, the study identifies key thematic clusters related to human-technology interaction, digital transformation, workforce competencies, and organizational change within Logistics 4.0. The results reveal the growing integration of human-centric principles into Industry 4.0-oriented logistics research and highlight emerging research directions and knowledge gaps. By systematically mapping the existing literature, this study contributes to a clearer understanding of how human-centric concepts have evolved and how they are interconnected across research domains. The findings provide valuable insights for researchers seeking to advance theoretical understanding and for practitioners aiming to design more sustainable, efficient, and human-oriented logistics systems in the context of ongoing digital transformation.
