Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) organizes conferences to promote scientific progress, share the latest research results, and foster collaboration among scientists, students, and professionals from various fields. These events provide opportunities to present ideas to a wider audience, discuss relevant issues, and strengthen the university's academic and international visibility. Additionally, VILNIUS TECH conferences contribute to the development of young researchers, the cohesion of the academic community, and the dissemination of knowledge in society, thus shaping an open and innovative environment for science and studies.

For 27 years, a cycle of Young Researchers Conferences has been organized in all scientific fields. Great attention is paid to the visibility of scientific results – the focus is on participating in conferences that reflect the main scientific research directions pursued by the university. The development of these directions is ensured by identifying internationally recognized conferences in the respective scientific field.

The publication of conference papers is carried out by the conference organizer or the Library departments responsible for publishing functions.
Employees responsible for publishing perform the following actions:

• coordinate the conference paper template – as needed;
• perform technical editing of papers;
• prepare the layout and its proofreading;
• communicate with paper authors and coordinate corrections;
• register with ISBN or ISSN agencies;
• upload layouts to the conference website, manage paper metadata, and publish papers – as needed;
• register a digital object identifier (DOI) for each paper or the entire conference (for electronic publications);
• prepare a printed version – as needed.

Conferences organized by the university are stored in the VILNIUS TECH institutional repository, which supports Open Access principles. This ensures long-term archiving and uninterrupted access in the digital space.
