Elektrokinetiškai nustatytas PFAS sulaikymo indeksas (SRI) dirvožemio sistemai molekuliniu lygmeniu

Per- ir polifluoralkilinių medžiagų (PFAS) sulaikymo tyrimai nevienalytėse dirvožemio sistemose yra svarbūs vertinant šių medžiagų riziką aplinkai. Dėl sudėtingo PFAS elgesio dirvožemyje ir įvairių fizinių bei cheminių veiksnių poveikio šie tyrimai turėtų būti atliekami taikant aiškiai apibrėžtą metodiką. Iki šiol dauguma PFAS sulaikymo tyrimų buvo orientuoti į bendrą šių medžiagų sulaikymo elgsenos aprašymą, daugiausia remiantis sulaikymo koeficientų reikšmėmis ir absoliučiomis koncentracijomis. Teorinis požiūris ir susiję principai gali būti tinkamai suderinti, siekiant užtikrinti aiškiai apibrėžtą PFAS elgsenos aprašymą, kartu nustatant išsamius parametrus molekulinio lygio PFAS tyrimams nevienalytėje dirvožemio terpėje. Todėl šiame tyrime daugiausia dėmesio skirta naujos indekso reikšmės taikymui PFAS elgsenai aprašyti, kartu dzeta potencialą (ZP) laikant pagrindiniu parametru molekulinio lygio PFAS tyrimuose sudėtingose terpėse, tokiose kaip dirvožemis. Naujoji indekso vertė – sistemos sulaikymo indeksas (SRI) – keturioms PFAS buvo gauta normalizuojant apskaičiuotą PFAS ZP, atsižvelgiant į apskaičiuotas ZP vertes molio dirvožemyje, kurio pH yra 5,0. Sistemos sulaikymo indekso (SRI) žemėlapis buvo sukurtas siekiant erdviškai prognozuoti PFAS sulaikymo ir judrumo sąlygas. SRI leidžia palyginti PFAS sulaikymo būseną, suteikia molekulinio lygmens įžvalgų, įveikiant apribojimus, susijusius su grandinės ilgiu ir sulaikymo koeficiento vertėmis.
