Accuracy and analysis of the use of geodetic and remote sensing data to create topographic plans

Abstract

Traditional studies derived from data from manned aircraft are expensive, and the resolution of captured images is often limited. The main advantage of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system as a photogrammetric sensor platform, along with the traditional manned aircraft, is the high flexibility that allows obtaining high-resolution photos from non-traditional positions and low cost. Nowadays, when measuring small objects, it is uneconomical to use manned aircraft, therefore, improved digital cameras are integrated into UAVs, software for convenient photo processing. Using the UAV system to create orthophotographic, height (Digital Elevation Model (DEM)) models of various objects, to produce topographic plans. In the research work, a DEM of the surface of the territory of 5000 m² was created based on the UAV photo and geodetic measurements with a tacheometer, which was used to create a topographic plan. In accordance with the requirements set out in the Geodesy and Cartography Technical Requirements Regulation (GKTR), accurate topographical mapping was analyzed using pleasant geodetic methods and a photo was taken by DJI PHANTOM 4 PRO with an integrated 8.8 mm focal length lens camera FC6310 based on UAV photos. The result shows that the combination of drawing up topographic plans is better to observe geodetic with photogrammetric methods, using UAV, a much more detailed image, but it is necessary to take into account the density of the territory law. DTM can be distorted and neat in reality on the surface. However, the obtained plan and height accuracy in open areas meets the requirements given by GKTR.
