Trends in the provision of online trade services

The article discusses the trends in providing online trading services. Having experienced a strong growth spurt during the coronavirus pandemic, online trading has become one of the fastest-growing industries. In order to start providing services online successfully, it is very important to analyze the market in which you will be trading. The key part of the market is customers. By analyzing their needs, characteristics, determining their gender or age, you can not only evaluate the target audience, but also offer products and services accordingly, predict the future sales of the company. It is believed that age is the most significant factor in determining the likelihood of online shopping. The aim of the article is to determine the purchase of various Lithuanian residents age groups on the Internet. Using scientific literature, statistical data analysis and the technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution TOPSIS, a study of Lithuanian residents who buy goods and services online was conducted. Based on five years of statistical data, the distribution of e-shopping among various age groups of users was examined, it was found that the 25–34 age group has the most widespread online purchases, and the 65–74 age group has the least.
