Assessment of the importance of success factors in organizational change management

Organizations and employees constantly face and have to adapt to environmental, working conditions, technological changes, which makes the management of organizational changes a relevant topic. Organizational changes involve complex processes reaching different levels of organizations and therefore are not always successful. In order to successfully implement organizational changes, it is worth considering the factors proposed by organizational change management models. Also, the concept of employees’ commitment to change, which is particularly important for the successful implementation of organizational changes. This article examines the concepts of organizational changes and employees` commitment to change. Organizational change management models are reviewed and success factors of organizational change management are distinguished. A questionnaire survey of experts – employees and managers – is conducted in order to refine the most important success factors of organizational change management. The results of the study show that both employees and managers value the following success factors of organizational change management as the most important: shared change goal and vision, effective change leadership, communication and good practices, employee needs and values. The obtained results of the study make it possible to examine more deeply the singled out most important success factors in the field of organizational change management.
