Green business valuation for construction
Keywords:
green construction business, green construction, green indicators, construction sectorAbstract
The potentially significant negative environmental impact of construction activities makes it important to transform the sector on the basis of green criteria, which are regulated by European Union legal documents. In order to develop a greening model for the construction sector and to reduce the threat to environmental safety, it is important to identify the factors that influence the construction business. The construction industry needs to identify the criteria that will enable it to adapt to a green business course. The main objective of this paper is to identify the green criteria that explain the measures to green the construction sector. The paper uses a scientific analysis of the literature to identify the green criteria for construction. The literature analysis shows that the green criteria and their weights are presented in different ways. The authors therefore summarise the greenness indicators and assess the impact on the greening of construction business, including green building criteria, BREEAM sustainable building assessment, LEED sustainable building assessment and other assessment frameworks. For green businesses, this study is important for practical adaptation to the current legal framework and for the practical greening of the construction business.
