The automotive sector is one of the largest and most polluting sectors in the world. As much as 16.2% of greenhouse gases come from the transport sector. Therefore there is a need to reduce pollution from the automotive sector. The aim of this paper is to draw conclusions from the literature and research on what factors would help the development of green business in the electric vehicle sector. To find out what systemic, individual changes in energy use and generation would ensure a greener development of the sector. One such solution is the replacement of traditional internal combustion engines with less polluting electric cars. This would reduce local pollution, but it would not solve the global pollution problem. This is due to the pollution caused by battery production, which may tarnish the environmental image of electric cars, but it is difficult to give up owning a car due to the ever-increasing size of cities. And while the number of electric car sales is on the rise, demand for internal combustion engines will account for the majority of new car sales in 2020, but in the future, electric car sales are expected to grow and take the majority of the market.
