Employees involvement reflects the state of wellbeing in organizations. The higher the level of employee’s involvement, so more efficiency in activities, which is the key to success. The public sector has recently been going through a phase of employee’s shortages, which in turn has made employees involvement particularly important. The study aimed to assess the factors that drive employee’s involvement in the public sector. It was done by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach to assess employee’s involvement in four areas of the public sector – culture, education, sport and health, through the use of incentives based on employees or organizational influencing. The results showed that financial benefits, career opportunities and interesting work are the most influential factors on employee’s involvement, indicating that influence is largely determined by the organization. The practical implication of this research is therefore focused on shaping the attitudes of HR specialists and managers in the public sector, using the results as a guide for the employee’s involvement process. The distinctive feature of the study is that it examines employee’s involvement through the lens of the separate influences of employees and organizations, assessing which is more effective.
