In the face of the pandemic, the organization of remote work has become a big challenge for the smooth and effective continuity of the organizations’ activities. Currently, the majority of Lithuanian business and public sector companies face the challenge of organizing remote work and ensuring that work goals and results are set and achieved when working from home. The purpose of examining scientific articles is to reveal ways to improve the effectiveness of remote work. To achieve this goal, a comparative analysis of the scientific literature and an expert survey were analyzed using the AHP method. In order to assess the order of importance of the factors that promote remote work when organizing remotely, 5 criteria were determined: flexibility (working hours, workplaces), work and personal life balance, reduction of travel costs and time savings, increased employee autonomy and efficiency, possibility to reduce communication with colleagues. After analyzing the recommendations of the authors and remote work organized by business enterprises, the main disturbances were identified: promotion and development of trust, lack of internal communication of the company, and effectiveness of the work performed.
