The idea of this article is to review the characteristics that can define the Internet of Things (IoT) market and identify the statistically significant relationships between market factors. The idea is implemented using a three-stage research methodology consisting of analysis of scientific and methodological literature, collection of secondary statistics to identify characteristics and data exclusion, and finally creation of a linear regression model to determine the statistically significant relationship between global IoT market revenues and IoT connections the number of devices, the total number of connections between IoT devices, and the total number of connections between non-IoT devices. The aim of the research is to identify the factors characterizing the Internet of Things technologies and to establish statistically significant relationships between them. The analysis revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship only between the revenues of the global Internet of Things market, billion. USD and the total number of IoT device connections. The total number of connections between IoT devices by 1 unit (billion), the global IoT market revenue increases by 0.615956882582394 billion. USD.
