Production optimization tendentions in the cosmetics sector: the case of Lithuanian

Production processes optimization still remains important factor to maintain in such a rapidly changing cosmetics market. In order to speed up physical work, company already considered applied classics ,,Lean“ methods, intended for more efficiently control production ongoing processes and increase them performance. Fast increasing Industrial 4.0 tendencies around the world, appears newer production optimize ways and measures. Robotization, automatization and etc. ensures faster work performance. The purpose of this study is to analyse and introduce main production optimization methods and trends. Based on the scientific literature analysis, the specifics of cosmetic production are described and singled out the main production processes optimization methods and trends. Applying multi-criteria evaluation method, the analysis of the production optimization tendencies of a cosmetics company in Lithuania was carried out.
