Investigation of investment opportunities in the cryptocurrency market

Abstract

Cryptocurrency is a digital, anonymous, decentralized currency that can only be used on virtual space and is not supervised by any financial institution. They can be used for settlement, savings and investment purposes. These currencies are made by mining when computer programs make special mathematical calculations (algorithms) and thus create new cryptocurrency units. Each year interest in cryptocurrency market is growing, despite high risks wich are widely discussed in literature, there is a need to find more information about this type of investment. The analysis of the scientific literature and the research of multi criteria valuation methods in the article aim to examine the investment opportunities in cryptocurrency market and to determine which method is more attractive to investor. The results of this article help to understand investment opportunities in the cryptocurrency market.
