Application of innovations for the development of organic farming

In recent decade the demand for organic products has significantly increased. This article presents a study about how the development of organic farming and implementation of innovative tools might help to reach the aims of the Green Deal and Sustainable Development. Also, the article overviews current trends in agriculture, promotion of organic farming and incorporation of high technologies in different processes of production and distribution. Methodology of the empirical study has been chosen to evaluate marketing instruments and tools for e-commerce applied in organic farms. A survey of managers of organic farms was conducted for analyzation of marketing instruments, innovations. To the majority of respondents, as the survey showed, e-commerce is primarily associated with opportunities to attract more customers. The empirical study has shown that the application of e-commerce correlates with such factors as the education of managers and their habitual use of computer tools for personal needs. Although the results of the survey research reveal the main reasons for the rather limited application of innovations and e-commerce in agricultural companies.
