Abstract

In order to remain competitive in the road construction market, new, optimal and efficient ways of performing works and methods and possibilities of material transportation, storage, production must be applied. One of the main goals of road construction companies is to implement a construction project in a timely and efficient manner with the lowest possible cost. In order to achieve the set goal, it is necessary to reduce the share of costs for production logistics, therefore the efficient operation of the entire supply chain is of paramount importance. Analyzing operating principles and managing them effectively can reduce costs. Logistics optimization is one of the key factors in the successful implementation of road construction projects. Logistics involves the flow of information and materials, optimization can be achieved through efficient planning of material delivery, material management and material handling. The main task of logistics: the necessary raw materials, materials, products must be provided to the consumer in need, the required quality, the right place, the right time and minimal costs, so the improvement of production logistics processes is one of the most important factors determining the end result. The aim of this article is to identify the links between the improvement of production logistics processes and efficient management.
