Challenges of plastic production management in the context of the circular economy

Abstract

Ecological product design is becoming an increasingly important aspect in efforts to maintain the productivity and sustainability of the circular economy in the production sector of plastics and their additives. The purpose of the article is to review and evaluate the approach of scientists and different institutions to the influence of ecological design and circular economy in achieving sustainable production in the sector of plastic and its additives. Based on the literature analysis, the main factors affecting production management are distinguished in order to create environmentally friendly products that are suitable for secondary use or safe disposal. During the research, the 3Rs principle was chosen as the main model. Based on the tasks raised by the research, the factors that determine the principles of production management applied in the environment of the circular economy, helping to achieve effective ecological product design, were determined.
