Valuation study of financial technology companies

Abstract

This master thesis raises an issue - how to identify unreliable Fintech companies. Theoretical concept of Fintech and its development will be clarified at the beginning of the thesis, the impact of Fintech on the country’s financial sector will be evaluated, potential risks posed by unreliable Fintech companies will be defined. In order to solve the issue, an assessment method for Fintech companies will be created. Publicly available data on Fintech companies will be collected, in order to achieve the purpose and then results will be classified into indicators. The assessment research methodology will be formed, scientific literature analysis, data analysis, methods of systematization, mathematical and statistical analysis are used for this research. The object of the entire research - Fintech companies operating in Lithuania. Based on the established indicators and research results the aim is set to carry out an assessment of the selected Fintech companies, to check and evaluate the obtained results.
