Investigation of the impact of euro adoption on economics of Baltic states

Abstract

Most of the authors of the literature evaluate the economies of individual countries or their indicators, but a study evaluating the tendencies of the Baltic economies in general has not been developed. This article examines the impact of the introduction of the euro on the Baltic economies. The aim of this work is to assess the impact of the introduction of the euro on the macroeconomic indicators of the Baltic States. The euro system is analyzed, its positive and negative aspects for the countries that have adopted the euro. To assess the impact of the introduction of the euro on the economies of the Baltic States, hypotheses are raised, correlation, one-way analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis are used. The study aims to reveal how the macroeconomic indicators of the Baltic States have changed since the introduction of the euro and which of the Baltic States has felt the most benefits of the introduction of the euro.
