Involvement of states in the development of the circular economy

Emissions are growing every year and land resources are limited, which is why solutions need to be found to make good use of waste as a raw material and to change other practices that are harmful to the earth. More and more countries, international organizations and companies are drawing attention to the global problem of today, that large amounts of waste pollute our nature, water and are one of the causes of climate change. In order to reduce environmental pollution, various legal acts are implemented at the level of international organizations and countries to implement the principles of the circular economy. The aim of this article is to examine the involvement of states in the development of the circular economy, which would help to define which decisions of the countries have a positive or negative impact on the development of the circular economy in the country. The article describes the analysis of the scientific literature, the application of quantitative calculation methods in assessing the involvement of states in the development of the circular economy. The results of the research are the disclosure of the features of the development of the circular economy. These features of development would help to improve the development of the circular economy nationwide and thus achieve international goals. As the EU Commission has set targets for the transition to a circular economy, the results of this study would allow further analysis of the development process of this economic model.
