Challenges of the need of professional development of employees in aviation system

The aviation sector is one of the fastest growing in the global economy. Although the current industrial downturn, in the context of COVID-19, has led to a temporary oversupply of qualified staff, long-term demand remains still high according to the “Pilots and Technicians” study done by Boeing in 2020. Therefore, given the foreseeable and growing need for qualified personnel, it is important that specialized training centers take into account the prevailing forecasts and assess possible training program scope, syntheses by establishing new training centers and ensuring the supply of qualified personnel. Examining the challenges faced by the aviation system - safety, application of advanced technologies, development problems of the sector, adaptation of marketing concept, strict regulation of aviation personnel qualifications and training processes, there is a need to answer the question of a risen discussion of whether the development of the aviation sector and the implementation of innovative solutions dictate the trends for the qualification of specialists and their adaptation in a changing market? Therefore, the aim of this article is to analyse the factors that determines the need of professional development of employees and to single out an adapted theoretical training model for the development of future specialists.
