Investing in exchange-traded investment funds under the pandemic of 21st century

Abstract

The article examines exchange - traded investment funds, which are more and more relevant in today 's economy due to the situation of COVID - 19, when due to external circumstances, the world economy is in recession, bonds, shares, etc. The purpose of this article is to investigate the trends of investing in exchange traded funds in the conditions of 21st century pandemics. The article analyzes the scientific literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors on the issues of conception and classification of investment funds traded on the stock exchange. It also presents the research methodology on the basis of which the research will be performed using benchmarking, risk assessment indicators. The third part of the article conducts an empirical study evaluating ETFs in pandemic conditions. Conclusions are presented at the end of the article.
