Abstract

The business strategies used in the aviation can determine the success of an airline, so their choice is really important. The article discusses the factors that influence choice of strategies in airlines business. As the aviation sector is particularly dynamic and has an impact on environmental factors, business success depends on the chosen business strategy. The first part of the article analyzes the factors that have the greatest impact on the aviation sector. In the second part of the article, based on the analyzed scientific literature, the main business models applied by airlines are selected and their principles and differences are described. In the third part of the article, analysis of data from expert surveys explains the strength of the influence of external factors on various business models of airlines. After analyzing the main determinants of choice, assessing their impact and ensuring business strategy, the article proposes a theoretical model, indicating the aspects of business strategy formation in organizations operating in the aviation sector and airlines.
