Abstract

Air transport is a strategically and vital sector for all economies. Partnerships between airports and airlines are needed to improve the quality of air transport services. The application of partnerships allows to improve the quality of services provided by companies and to increase operational efficiency. According to the specialist literature, a number of factors are considered that determine the effective partnership between organizations operating in the aviation sector. The study addresses the question of how aviation organizations interact with each other and what factors determine the need for partnership. Having identified common factors in the organization's operational interface and its need in the aviation sector, the practical examples of partnerships are explored to explore ways to enhance these factors in an effective partnership between airports and airlines. The solution to the problem is expressed by identifying the factors of effective partnership between the airports and the airlines and selecting the criteria for assessing the success of the airport cooperation activities, and their hierarchical scheme from the positions of the airlines. In further research, using multi-criteria assessment methods, it is easy to construct matrixes of initial estimates, compute final estimates, and thus decide which airport is the most appropriate partner for an airline.
