The impact of macroeconomic factors on the growth of a country competitiveness, after absorption of EU funds

Abstract

With the intensifying globalization processes and increasing competitive pressure between the countries, competitiveness has become a prerequisite for a successful economic and social development of the country. The aim of the article is to investigate the principles, conditions and development trends of support provided by the European Union. Analyze and justify the links between key economic and competitiveness indicators. Objectives raised to achieve goals: to analyze the impact of EU structural support funds on economic and social development of the country, to study the relationship of the main economic indicators with the country competitiveness indicators, to present the results of the statistical survey, the description and interpretation of it is data. Using correlation regression: the twinning / polynomial approach concludes that the decline in unemployment has a major impact on the country competitiveness.
