Construction project management and problems

Abstract

The article introduces with project management in the construction sector. With the emphasis on project management and their specific features, problems and risks are identified that affect the success of construction projects. The analysis of foreign and Lithuanian scientific literature was on the relevant topic and the main problems and risks were identified by region, political and geographical specifics. Considering the risks rising from project management period, proposals for grouping and identifying these risks are presented. A risk management tool is developed which allows identifying risks and categorizing them according to certain criteria. By implementing this method in a real project, it is possible to achieve risk avoidance, which would determine the success of the project.
