Business models of biotechnology sector: diversity and tendencies of it

Abstract

This article is about business models in biotechnology sectory. The meaning and conception of business models has been analyzed during this study. Firstly, vertical and horizontal types and forms of business model has been described. The aim of the article is to anser the question if business model is static or dynamic: if company should constantly use the same business model or change it, because of the inner and outer forces, that the company have to deal with. We have highlighted the problems that young biotechnology companies have to think about and summed up information about innovations of business models and how these innovation could be made.
