Fostrering of sustainable return in stock markets

Sustainability has been analysed in many different disciplines. The concept of it is longevity and development that meets our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainable investment – investments to green companies that include economic, social and environmental factors into their business. The component of sustainability and sustainable investments is sustainable return on investment, which is understandable as stable, long-term and reconciled with risk. This concept is new not just in Lithuania but in the whole world. In addition, this article examines not just theoretical part of sustainable return on investment but also the formation of investment portfolio, which could guarantee a sustainable return. The selection of stocks will be carried out by analyzing the different world markets, the industrial sectors and the fundamental indicators of companies, which operate in the most profitable sectors of industry, and performing multiple criteria evaluation.
