Abstract

The article analysis the foreign direct investment (FDI) in Lithuania. Theoretical part analysis the scientific literature about FDI forms and finding out major macro-economic factors which have the biggest effect to FDI. Practical part is carried out in correlation regression and paired regression analysis to determine the FDI dependence of different macro-economic indicators. The methodology of the analysis is the scientific literature, the macro-economic indicators, correlation regression and paired regression analysis. After Lithuania’s dependence research on direct investment to GDP per capita, average salaries, the number of unemployed persons, export and inflation it is found that GDP per capita, average salaries and the number of unemployed persons have the most influence on the changes of Lithuanian direct investment.
