The research of impact of sustainability on firm value

Abstract

Nowadays in the business world company’s sustainable development is one of the most relevant aspects of the enterprise. In scientific literature, the relationship between sustainable development and business is widely considered, but so far there is no consensus what kind of interaction, positive or negative, sustainable development creates to a company. That is why the paper examines not only the concept of sustainable development focusing on company’s sustainable development, but in order to establish the impact of sustainable development on the company’s value, the factors which influence company's value are reviewed, the classification of positive and negative factors are done and lastly relationship between the company’s value and company's sustainable development is established. The analysis of scientific literature has shown that sustainable development affects company's value more positively than negatively.
