Lithuanian sustainable development for sustainable development index 2010-2014, dynamics in and forecast 2020

In order to determine the level of country's sustainable development implementation it is not enough to know some sporadic indicators, which are determined and controlled by the various organizations, but it is necessary to understand the whole, which could be revealed by selecting the right evaluation methods of sustainable development. In this paper integrated sustainable development index calculation method is used. The main goal of this paper is using integrated sustainable development index, to analyze the dynamics of Lithuanian sustainable development for the period of 2010–2014, and forecast possible changes for the year 2020. First part of this paper based on scientific literature provides an overview of the concept of sustainable development. The second part analyses sustainable development index and sustainable development indicators, which will be used in practical part. The third part covers analysis of Lithuanian sustainable development and forecast possible changes for the year 2020.
