The influence of wage inequality on the emergence of social exclusion phenomenon

Abstract

Social exclusion is a major problem on a national scale. Scientists involves social exclusion considering the problems of poverty, unemployment and wage inequality, but in the Lithuania is no detailed theoretical and practical study of this phenomenon. The object of this article – social exclusion because of wage inequality. The objective of the article is to assess the influence of wage inequality on the formation of social exclusion. To achieve this objective, the following tasks have been implemented: to analyze the scientific literature in the area of wage and social exclusion, to assess the scale of wage inequality and social exclusion development and to suggest the solutions of mentioned problems. In this article, the following methods of analysis are used: an analysis and summarize of the scientific literature, the theoretical and practical statements matching method, analysis of the statistical data.
