Youth entrepreneurship possibilities in Lithuanian: problems and perspectives

Abstract

Youth entrepreneurship is Lithuania’s strategic priority and one of the most important factors that in-fluence economic development. After Lithuania’s accession into European Union (EU) youth entrepreneurship promotion is based on EU strategies. However youth unemployment in this decade is one of most important economic and social problem in most EU countries not exception is and Lithuania. Youth entrepreneurship is not a panacea to youth unemployment, but might be strong part of political reaction. In this article are investigated youth entrepreneurship opportunities and strategic development directions in Lithuania. Political, social, economical and technical aspects are the main criteria according to which entrepreneurship possibilities are investigated. Strategic development possibilities are investigated according to youth entrepreneurship strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in Lithuania.
